Estate agents in Lanzarote

Posted in lanzarote estate agents at 4:41 am by admin

Lanzarote property sales are represented by many different estate agents. The main areas on the island for tourism and therefore most sought after and developed are Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. In each of these areas there are plenty of estate agents to chose from. It is easy to make contact with the agents in these areas and get an idea of what the market is like. It is a good idea to start to build a rapour with some of the agents before arriving for your viewing trip.

A good way to start the property buying process in your chosen area of Lanzarote is as follows:-
The key points are to get organised and make notes, build up a good idea of the local property market and what you want. Always keep in mind why you are buying the property and what you need from it.
1 – Have a good look on the web before visiting and get an idea of the current market prices. A good web site to start with is the freedom4sale site, this is not an estate agents own site but an independant site featuring estate agents properties across lanzarote
2 – Make property enquiries asking all the pertinent questions you can think of.
3 – Make a short list of all the estate agents and properties you want to view on you trip over to lanzarote, create a day to day diary and book in all the viewings you wish to make. After each viewing make notes of what you think of each property. Create a ranking scheme on the issues that are important to you for example ‘rentability’, ‘distance from beach’, ‘views’, etc etc. Its amazing how quickly you can forget the finer details of each property once a few have been seen.
4 – Again be prepared with a list of questions for the estate agent showing you each property. Remember they will have a lot more knowledge of the local area.
5 – Narrow down you shortlist and revisit your favourites. Sometimes you will know when you see the right property, sometimes it takes a lot of whittling down and hard work to arrive at the one you want. Other times you may not find it on your first trip.
6 – Do not let yourself be rushed. Give yourself time to think before coming to a final decision.
7 – The whole process can be very stressful and nerve racking but remember that Lanzarote is part of the EEC and the property purchasing system is well established and solid.
8 – If in any doubt seek advice, there is plenty available.
