This issue is broken down into sections for Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife and Gran Canaria. There are property price guides for each island showing examples from each estate agent of properties for sale in differing price brackets.

Freedom4sale is not an estate agent but a web portal and magazine where the Canaries best estate agents promote their services and properties.

Prices are still very good and will not go any lower. The reason they will not go any lower is because no one can afford to sell any lower. There really area bargains galore.

Not only are the prices right but the news section is showing an easing of unemployment, increases in visiting tourists and cheaper flights. The recession may not be over but to escape the gloom people are deciding to live a little and enjoy their holidays again.

The ‘Hot Properties’ section is all about location this issue. Properties with a view. Sea view apartments are starting at as little as 86,000 euros.

Life is still for living, even in a recession. You will not find a better time to buy than now. Download your Canary Island property magazine and see how your lifestyle could take an upward turn.

Pension reforms in Canary Islands

Spains Labor Minister Mr Goméz has some tough decisions to make in light of the countries high unemployment and economic position.
Whilst the French are up in arms by the news that retirement age is rising from 60 to 62 Mr Gomez hopes the Spanish will not be so miffed. Plans are set to take the retirement age in Spain from 65 to 67. With less money in the coffers and higher life expectancy changes are seen as being imperative for the economic survival of the country.
Mr Gomez was quoted as saying “Governments can’t stand aside, can’t let their debts and budget gaps grow into uncharted territory, the retirement age must keep rising because life expectancy is rising and the population is aging.”
Spain is now making visible cuts in raising tax collection and cutting spending.

Golf course for Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca is finally getting its very own golf course. The Golf course will be developed by Hipoclub, the same developers of the adjacent Faro Park.

Now Playa Blanca, along with Lanzarote’s other two main tourist centres, can boast its very own golf course.

Work is due to commence in November 2010.

Property owners in Playa Blanca are set to see their investments rise in value as houses nearby will become a lot more sought after.

Now that Lanzarote will have a total of three golf courses golfing tourists will be more attracted to holiday in Lanzarote. Golfers are a sought after section of the tourism market as they are seen to be above average income earners and often bring their families too. To this end Lanzarote is seen as a great destination for the golfing family. Each of the three resorts of Puerto del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca that will have golf courses also have great family facilities. When this is stacked along side the super dependable Canarian weather, great beaches and facilities it makes for a very successful family holiday.

There is plenty of choice with regards to property for holiday rental in Lanzarote. In each of the main tourist resorts there is a great selection of larger properties with private pools, sky tv, internet and more.

Other Canary Islands like Tenerife and Gran Canaria have a thriving golfing tourism industry. In Gran Canaria there are a total of eight golf courses and in Tenerife a total of nine courses. Gran Canaria and Tenerife receive more tourists so the ratio of golfers to tourists is about right on Lanzarote.
