Olympics may come to Tenerife
The Madrid Olympic campaign is already hard at work with it’s second consecutive attempt to bring the Olympic games to Spain.
Having failed in their 2012 Olympic games bid, they are hoping to be successful in their bid for the 2016 games.
Mercedes Coughlan, head of the Madrid campaign recently met with Angel Llanos, the deputy mayor of Santa Cruz, to discuss ways in which the city could help promote the new bid.
It is thought that Santa Cruz could be in line to host sailing events if the Madrid bid is successful.
Olympic events being held in Tenerife and all the associatted publicity with such a world event would have a very positive effect on Tenerife property for sale prices.
